Job Summary
The Team:
The Stuart Nechako Forest District Administrative Team has six (6) professionals across two (2) offices, working efficiently to meet District objectives. As part of this team, the Business Administration Officer works closely with all District programs, overseeing budget management and ensuring the seamless flow of operations. This team is critical to the success of the District, providing essential support for contracts, agreements, and financial processes.
The Role:
As the Business Administration Officer, your key responsibilities will include managing the budget, overseeing contracts, and ensuring smooth operations for the District's facilities. You will regularly engage with clients, assisting with enquiries and helping to deliver essential services. This role offers a dynamic and challenging work environment, providing opportunities to work with a diverse range of programs and make a meaningful impact.

About this Position:
There is currently one (1) permanent, full time position available.
This position can be based in Fort Saint James or Vanderhoof.
Depending on the successful candidate's location, a bi-weekly isolation allowance may apply.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies in the above locations.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in business administration, financial management or public administration, and two (2) years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and five (5) years of related experience.
- Related experience includes:
- managing administrative services for multiple business lines, in an office setting;
- financial management, including developing and/or managing budgets;
- managing facilities and technical services, including procurement and project management;
- working productively and co-operatively with internal and external clients; and,
- supervising diverse teams.
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or both of the following:
- three (3) or more years of experience in a senior administrative position leading budget management, administrative services, and facilities and technical services planning; and/or,
- three (3) or more years of experience supervising three (3) or more positions with diverse accountabilities.
