KPMG is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to assist Partners in administering collections according to policies and procedures. Proactively manage all outstanding balances for client payments. Maintain records of clients past due balances and follow-up mandate.The role will be the single point of contact for all collection related matters for the assigned Partners and their engagement teams.

The expected base salary range for this position is $42,500 to $58,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. KPMG is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to assist Partners in administering collections according to policies and procedures. Proactively manage all outstanding balances for client payments. Maintain records of clients past due balances and follow-up mandate.The role will be the single point of contact for all collection related matters for the assigned Partners and their engagement teams.
What you will do
- Day-to-day management of client accounts, including reconciliation, collection calls, dispute identification and resolution
- Locate and notify clients of past due balances by telephone, email, mail etc.
- Proactive and timely management of payments and resolution of delinquent accounts
- Maintain detailed notes on collection activity and scheduled follow up
- Respond to internal and external client account inquiries
- Identify and escalate client issues where appropriate
- Interact with the appropriate departments to research outstanding balances and resolve client issues
- Meet with management to communicate key A/R information such as status of accounts
- Work with partners, managers and administrative staff on client information that will improve the timeliness of billings and collection
- Access, analyze and update account information
- Ensure all customer information is correct, including phone numbers and addresses
- Implement our collection management processes and procedures in a professional and diplomatic manner, to maximize recovery and minimize debt, while maintaining client relationships
- 3 years of professional collections experience
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Able to deal with people sensitively and professionally at all times
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational, time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Ability to work independently and within a virtual or in person team environment
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office particularly Word & Excel.
- College diploma; finance/accounting diploma an asset
