The KPMG Family Office Cross Border Tax practice assists high net worth individuals and their families with complex tax compliance and advisory issues across multiple jurisdictions, and in particular the US and Canada.
Joining the KPMG Family Office Cross Border Tax practice is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, expanding team that values learning, problem-solving, and professional growth. We are expanding and seeking tax professionals with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
What you will do
- Managing client engagements including US and Canadian personal tax compliance and advisory, reviewing junior team's work for accuracy, planning workflow for meeting deadlines.
- Building relationships with clients and managing timely communication with them on tax matters.
- Preparing tax-planning memos and other deliverables by conducting tax research and drafting the deliverables.
- Providing ongoing support for junior staff's professional development.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Canadian and US personal tax
- The ability to lead private client engagements
- Strong research and writing skills
- Additional assets include US and/or Canadian CPA designations, US EA, completion of the In-depth Tax Course, experience with trust taxation and estate planning
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
